In August, Sask-atchewan recycling organization SARCAN, ran a promotion called “SARCAN Gives Back” in support of Saskatchewan charities.
The Coronach Branch participated in the promotion that saw Sarcan commit to donating $150 for every tonne of milk cartons collected and $350 for every tonne of plastic milk jugs collected.
Sarcan donated $334.94 to Coronach, out of a total of $46.308.86 that they donated to various charitable organizations and community fundraising efforts across the province.
The Coronach branch passed on the $334.94 plus $328, the proceeds of a raffle, for a total of $662.94 to the Coronach Health Centre Handi-Van fund.
“We were very pleased to be able to donate to so many worthy charitable organizations across the province, and SARCAN employees were proud to be a part of the various fundraising efforts,” said Melanie Weiss, Manager of Organizational Communications for SARCAN.
“Because of their hard work and the commitment of our customers, SARCAN was able to give back to our communitieis, and that’s a great feeling.”
