Coronach's Garret Pifko is the Grand Prize winner for Palliser region's Teen Summer Reading Club. Teens across Canada joined this new "just for teens' reading club both online and locally. They posted reviews online for books they'd read, "chatted" with other Canadian teens and filled out bingo sheets with a variety of library and reading related activities. These bingo sheets were used for the grand prize draw. Garrett won first prize - a Nintendo Wii with games & extra controller. Second prize(digital camera) was won by Sandra Crum of Tugaske and third prize (MP3 player) was won by Kyla Saver of Assiniboia.
Garret was not the only Coronach winner - Amanda Reaves won three prizes in the Teen Reading Club this summer! She won a t-shirt in a random review draw and also won both the July 23 and August 13, "Brimming Bag" draws for the Palliser region. Local Librarian Marlene McBurney said, "with 20 libraries in the Palliser region, there was lots of competition! Congratulations to Garret and Amanda."
