On Sunday, October 19, 2008, 39 of Giselle's Show Tyme Dance students participated in a Dance Workshop. Instruction was provided by Barb Jackman and her two assistants Danielle and Megan from B.J.'s Dance Studio in Moose Jaw.
The dancers were divided into three age groups and were given instruction in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical dance. "Some of the older dancers were feeling the muscle pain after their two hour work out," said Anna New, parent. Dancers and their parents were treated to snacks throughout the day.
The workshop was made possible by funds raised at the annual dance competition that the club hosts each year.
The club is presently making plans for their competition that will be held on April 17 and 18, 2009. Barb Jackson has agreed to be the Adjudicator for the competition. The 2008 competition attracted the club's biggest turnout thus far with 219 entries and over 250 dancers competing.
