Former students awarded for academic excellence

The Coronach Elks awarded three scholarships to former Coronach School students.

Richelle Gent, who had the second highest average in the Class of 2010, received $200 after her first semester in post-secondary education at the Briercrest Bible College in Carenport, Saskatchewan.

Mary Lynn Beaulieu, who had the highest average in the Class of 2011, received $300 after her first semester in the University of Regina.

Olivia Philippon, who is also at the University of Regina, received $200 for attaining the second highest average in the Class of 2011.

The Elks award scholarships each year at the awards day to the top two averages in the class, and pay them out after the first hear of post-secondary education.
