In the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association (SHSRA) report in the June 11 issue of the Triangle News, there was an error in the information published by the SHSRA and a number of things were reported incorrectly.

After finishing with the most points in the year, Coronach cowgirl Jaclyn Noll, won a buckle and was named the SHSRA All Around Cowgirl.  Zane Marcenko, from Rockglen, was named the All Around Cowboy Reserve.

Rookie of the Year was Tyson Thue from Bengough, Tyson competed in Bull Riding, Goat Tying, Chute Dogging and Team Roping.  Most Improved went to Keaton Anderson from Rockglen who competed in Breakaway Roping.

Jaclyn’s horse Winn won the AQHA Horse of the year with the Junior Horse of the Year going to Mankota’s Kassidy Williamson’s horse Cutter.

Awards are presented for top point getters for the year, before the finals rodeo in Martensville.

The rodeo finals in Martensville wrap up a series of 10 high school rodeos that are held throughout the province.  This is the last chance for cowboys and cowgirls to pick up a win and add to their yearlong totals in hopes of advancing to the National Finals in Rock Springs Wyoming and the Canadians in Virden, Manitoba.
