New Horizons celebrates June birthdays

It was a beautiful Tuesday June afternoon as the New Horizons Club gathered at the Coronach Drop In Centre to celebrate their member’s monthly birthdays.

Turning the page on another calender year in June were Hans Zoller, Berniece Foley and Stuart Adams.

The hosts for this month were Bev Adams and Tom & Arleane Winter.

Thirty-three guests enjoyed carrot cake, fruit bread, cheese bread and Luscious Louisiana Strawberry Cake, a Bev Adams family recipe. Tea and coffee was also served.

On the second Tuesday of each month, the New Horizons Club hosts a birthday party for seniors in the community that are celebrating their birthday in that month.

The New Horizons Club has 60 active members and hosts coffee each Saturday morning and card parties.
