New Horizons celebrate May birthdays

As far as spring days go, the New Horizons Club could not have asked for a more beautiful day to hold their monthly birthday celebration at the Coronach Drop In Centre.

For May, birthday wishes went out to Arleane Winter and Bev Adams.

Those members who celebrated birthdays in April, acted as hosts for this month’s party. They were Agnes Cairns, Ina Lee, Margo Little and Andy Giraudier.

Close to 30 club members enjoyed strawberry shortcake, lemon tarts, egg salad buns and coffee and tea for refreshments.

On the second Tuesday of each month, the New Horizons Club hosts a birthday party for seniors in the community that are celebrating their birthday in that month. The New Horizons Club has 60 active members and hosts coffee each Saturday morning and card parties.
