Coronach Co-op raises over $1,000 for Handi-Van Fund

On Wednesday, May 16, the Coronach Co-op held a Member Appreciation and Cashback Day.

Board and staff served up hamburgers and hot dogs along with potato chips and a drink for $2. The weather cooperated for the people who lined up outside the Co-op to get their supper.

Arlene Colibaba reported a “Good Day”, selling 507 burgers/hot dogs. The Co-op donated all of the proceeds of the barbeque plus 3 cents/litre from all gas sold that day to the Handi-Van Fund. The cheque to the fund will total $1,158.63.

Co-op members were also able to pick up their equity cheques, for purchases they made in the previous year. The Co-op gave back over $125,000 to members.
