On Saturday morning May 19, 2012, Jackie Duckworth, a representative of Easy Care Living Centre from Moose Jaw arrived at the Willow Bunch Museum delivering a 19” Airgo Transport Chair, a 22” AMG Wheelchair with footrests, an Evolution Challenger Mini 4 Wheel Walker and an Eclipse Pro De3 Aurora 4 Wheel Walker.
Total value of these products is approx. $2000.00 and was graciously donated by Mr. Craig Wutke, owner of Easy Care Living Centre.
A new elevator-lift was installed in the Museum early this spring and at the monthly March meeting, the Board of Directors discussed the possibility of purchasing wheel chairs since we now have a Wheel Chair Accessible Building.
Nichole Lesperance-Gellner volunteered to call around to see what was available. She contacted Easy Care Living in March and spoke to Jackie explaining the Museum’s situation and that we are a non-profit organization working on a small budget, and would it be possible to have a used wheelchair donated to our museum.
Jackie kindly took all the information and said she would talk to her supervisor about our request. Sometime in April, Jackie called the museum and said that the Easy Care Living Centre would like to donate two new wheelchairs and two new walkers to our museum!
We are greatly indebted to Mr. Craig Wutke and his staff, Jackie Duckworth for all their help and generosity.
