An unidentified male, hauling bales in the Coronach area, narrowly escaped serious injury when the semi-trailer unit he was driving left the road and rolled into the ditch. The semi-trailer came to rest on its roof, leaving the cab of the trailer nearly flattened.
On October 31, 2011, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Coronach RCMP received a call of a semi-trailer rollover that happened 2.2 west/4.5 kms north of Coronach.
Coronach RCMP attended the site. According to Mike Lambert, Corporal of the Coronach RCMP detachment, The Coronach Fire Department and the Coronach Ambulance were already on scene when the RCMP arrived at the scene. Lambert reported the fire department was working to free the lone male occupant from the overturned semi-trailer unit.
The male was extricated from the vehicle and transported by ambulance for further assessment. No official report of the driver’s condition was available, but local reports are that he suffered no serious injury.
The Coronach RCMP continue to investigate the matter.
