If you were walking past the Coronach Elks Hall on the afternoon of Saturday, March 10 or the afternoon of Sunday, March 11, you would have heard howls of laughter coming from the doors, as the Big Muddy Players performed again.
This time, it was a two-act comedy called “Squabbles.” A beguiling tale of family, in-laws, babies, a handy man and the confusion that can arise from the mix.
Roles were played by Todd Ferrie (Abe Dreyfus), Pauline Scott (Mildred Sloan), Connor Ferrie (Jerry Sloan), Pam Pifko (Alice Sloan), Justin Pifko (Hector Lopas), Linda Poirier (Mrs. Fisher) and Claire Manske (Sol Wasserman). The role of Alice Sloan was originally cast with Jessica Dyck, who after dental surgery was unable to perform. Pam stepped into the role and did a fantastic job with only 24 hours notice.
This production was under the direction of Sue Wilson and stage managers Pam Pifko and Garret Pifko.
A crowd of 89 people enjoyed the very tasty meal prepared by the Coronach Kinettes, as well as desserts for 71 on Sunday. The Big Muddy Players thank all that came out to support and enjoy this play and are looking forward to our next production in the fall.
