The Willow Bunch Auto Lotto is in the books for another year.

Although the lottery wasn’t a sellout, like most in the 15 year history, the golf course is still pleased with the results.

Sharleine Eger, board member, said, “We sold 2884 tickets just short of a sell out, but with the 50/50 we still did very well and were very pleased with the outcome.”

New for this year, the club had chips made with numbers printed on them to use for the draws.

“The change this year was not printing and writing out actual tickets. The chips are numbered 1 to 3200. All our entries are on computer and the number drawn is found on the computer to see who the winner is.” explained Eger.

Announcers from the radio stations CJWW and CKRM were onsite for three days, March 8, 9 and 10, helping the club sell tickets.

The draws were made at the Jolly Giant pub, Sunday March 11th at 5:00 p.m. with Constable Rhys Crawford from the Coronach detachment of the RCMP in attendance to make the draws.

New to the 2012 Auto Lotto was a 50/50. The winner of the 50/50 draw worth $31,057.50 in cash was Chantelle Laboucan, from Saskatoon.

The winner of the Grand Prize of $50,000 was Corey Miskolczi, from Prudhomme.

Winner of $5,000 cash was Ryan Tynning, from Swift Current.

Winners of 1,000: David Brenner, from Willow Bunch; George Kinzel, from Saskatoon; Calvin Fensom, from Saskatoon; Ron Muench, from Saskatoon; Joan Mancinelli, from Regina; Dora Mielke, from Rockglen and Al Knapp, from Regina.

Eger said, “Proceeds are used for repair and maintenance, fuel, fertilizer, grass seed, etc...”
