The chill is certainly in the air! At least, we haven’t had any snow storms yet! I am sure they will come soon enough.
Today is my eldest, Dallas’, 22 birthday. Happy Birthday Dallas!!!
We had our first snow storm of the year the night he was born. Hopefully, we have a few more days before that happens. I chuckle when I think of that day. I was in Scobey, painting sweatshirts and was working furiously to get done before I would be too busy with a newborn. I wonder if anyone wore those sweatshirts with the painted ducks on them!! That was 1989, the last of the great years of 80s fashions!!
Well back to 2011. . .
I wonder if the chilly air was cause for such a decline in the number of halloweeners at my door?
I don’t know the reason, but I didn’t run up and down my stairs enough to run off even one mini chocolate bar, let alone the bucket that is left over that I will undoubtedly eat!!
It seemed to be half of what we normally get, and one-quarter of the glory days! I handed out 200 treats one year. I heard some on my block that only had 30 kids.
Do you think that Halloween’s days are numbered?? Do our kids get enough candy that they can’t be bothered to dress up and walk around town?
Do you think that people are less comfortable with letting their kids tromp around in the dark?
All I know is that I missed seeing all of the cute kids in their costumes! Delaney certainly made her rounds! I don’t think she missed many houses and unfortunately for her teeth, everyone was handing out handfuls of candy to get rid of it.
I had decided that I was going to dump all of the candy I had left over into the bag of the next Halloweener and I didn’t have anyone else!! I think I had one kid after supper!
Well, enough “Hallowhining”!
Election Day today! Are you ready?
I hope you take advantage of our right to vote and cast your ballet in the provincial election today.
We only have two candidates running today, that is a first I am sure. Last election, I interviewed four candidates. Much different this year.
