Another great Christmas Concert at the Coronach School!
We have had such a busy past couple of weeks here, that I almost considered skipping out, but I am so glad I made the effort!!
I am always very impressed with the effort put forth and how well behaved everyone is!! And, I must say, what a great group of singers! I did make a comment to Miss McLean that she must be so happy to have the beautiful singers that she has right now. Although, I am sure every year she loves their sweet voices!!!
This was one year that a person could have stayed home and still enjoyed the concert. The concert was on a live stream on the school website! Talk about technology! It was tempting to watch from home, but I do believe the idea is for out-of-town friends and relatives to be able to tune it. I heard it was great coverage on the internet. So cool!
And, if I would have skipped out, you wouldn’t have been able to enjoy all of the great photos in the paper! I could have saddled Darren with the job, but he isn’t quite as comfortable yet with sticking his rear in front of everyone to take the photos! Sorry about all of the times that I have stood in front of you to get a shot for the paper!!!! But, I think it has been worth it so far! We get many compliments on the photos in our paper, so I will keep it up!!
Are you all ready for Christmas? Only a few more days to go! Today is Delaney’s birthday, 12 years old today. I broke down and allowed her to have a cell phone. I vowed that I wouldn’t yet, but I did. I must say that there have started to be many, many times that I wished I could whip her a text, so now I can. She has been so busy babysitting, it will be handy for that as well. This was the first year in many, many years that I didn’t have someone in the Christmas concert. It was a bit weird, but I can watch anyone’s kids!!
Thank you to everyone who has come out to watch the community choir. We have had a busy year. We sang here, Willow Bunch, Rockglen, Bengough and at the Coronach Health Centre and Southwinds Manor. Although it makes the schedule far too busy, it is nice to share our music. It was great to be a part of the other communities’ concerts - to enjoy the other choirs, visit and of course, to enjoy all the goodies!!! We are so blessed to have the talents of Father Andrew and Dorothea to mold the bunch of us into a beautiful choir.
We are about to put the biggest issue of the year to bed, and it has been a crazy busy time! I must say that sharing the load with crazy Darren has made for lots of laughs. I wish I was as witty as him and has some comebacks for his hits he likes to give me in his columns, but I got nothing!! My only defense is that I whip out this column in a few minutes, it takes him much longer to be clever!!
Have a great last week before Christmas everyone!!!
