Kelly's Kolumn

Last few minutes and then holidays for 11 days!!!!  I can’t wait!!

This week was much quieter at the office but never does it get where we are actually caught up!  We just think we are getting there and something else pops up.  It really is amazing how much there is to cover in our little town.  There is so much we just don’t get to! Make sure you send in any photos or stories of anything that we miss.

We have had a busy season getting to hockey, curling, Christmas performances, visiting friends, shopping and on and on.

We are off and running for the holidays!  I know that shocks you!  We will spend one night with Grant’s sister and family in Regina and then off to my sister’s cabin at Iroquois Lake for a couple of days.  Not sure how many more years we will be away from home for Christmas as it makes it very hard when your children grow up and have lives of their own.  Both boys are hanging in there with us for a couple of days this year anyways, which I am very thankful for.  There are many families that are unable to get together and we are very fortunate.

I hope to get home in time to spend a couple of quiet days at home before New Years, but we will see.

We are planning to attend the Kin cabaret for New Years.  I am looking forward to a fun night out and a bit of dancing!  I hope someone will dance with me!!

Darren and I will be back at it on January 3.  I am sure he will really miss me and wish I was around every day to boss him around!! Be sure to keep us in mind through the holidays and send us anything you would like to share.  Thank you so much to everyone at the school who has been so kind to allow me to print letters, photos and stories involving the school and all of their activities.  I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoy covering things at the school.

I would like to wish each and every one of you a Blessed and Joyful Christmas and Prosperous New Year!  I would also like to send out a special wish of peace and joy to those who struggle this time of year.  Christmas can be a joyous and fun time of year, but also a time of year that reminds many of those that have gone on before and who are missed, especially this time of year.  Christmas can also be a lonely time of year for those separated from their loved ones or for those who have to work to keep this world of ours turning. Peace be with you all.

Merry Christmas
