As you know by now, I like to spend much of my free time on the internet searching for just about anything.

Whether it’s online shopping, especially my ebay addiction of buying Under Armour clothing, Facebook-ing, Twitter-ing, YouTube-ing or downloading mov... ummm, nevermind that one.

While listening to the Howard Stern Show one morning, he was talking about one of his favorite websites, www.stumbleupon.com. It’s basically a website that helps you discover new and interesting stuff on the web. You sign up, tell them things you are interested in, click the “stumble” button and pages with your interests will show up. You can “like” a page and more of the same will show up, or you can “dislike” a page and those pages will no longer show up.

So, let’s start “stumbling” and see what fun, strange and informative things we come up with...

Ever wonder why McDonald’s color scheme is yellow and red? “We are naturally drawn to red, yellow and orange in our dining area or restaurants because psychologically it stimulates us to want to eat and eat a lot. Studies show if you put your food on blue plates it can cause you to eat less,” says Tamal Dodge, a yoga instructor in California.

Random fact #1484: Your stomach acid is strong enough to dissolve razor blades.

Looking for a proactive way to arouse your creativity? Of course you are. One way is to talk to a monkey. Explain what you’re really trying to say to a stuffed animal.

They have square watermelons in Japan, just because they stack better.

One out of ten children in Europe are conceived on an IKEA bed.

Recycling one glass jar saves enough energy to watch TV for 3 hours.

Random fact #1453: “Knock” is the world’s shortest horror story as it contains only two sentences... “The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door.”

There are many great pictures and videos I have stumbled upon so far, but obviously a little difficult to share them with you.

In the next four years, you will shed your body weight in dead skin. Gross.

With Anti-Bullying Day last week, a website has the Top 10 meanest bullies in movie history. They include Biff Tannen from Back To The Future and Chet Donnelly from Weird Science. However, the biggest bully according to this list is Johnny Lawrence of The Karate Kid.

I just found out how to make a fireball that I can hold in my hand without burning it. Apparently all I need is a 100% cotton cloth, cotton string and a needle, scissors and some lighter fluid.

Finally this week, the strangest thing I probably stumbled upon was in our office. And this one just re-affirms what I have to continue to put up with on a daily basis. I must say this one is a little bizarre.

So anyways, every time Kelly burped in the office, instead of saying excuse me, she said “Hoo-ah!”, in her best deep, ‘Scent of a Woman’, Al Pacino voice.

I told you, absolutely bizarre. And yes, I feel sorry for me, too.
