Firstly, let me address last week’s “Drivel”!  Well, that is assuming that you read it, which maybe you don’t bother with that, after reading my great column, who would need to?  Well, I assure you, first of all,  that I was not burping, . . . and if I were to burp, I would not in fact be following it with any Al Pacino impersonations!! As with many of the unflattering comments made in the Drivel, you should, in the future, just replace Darren’s name with mine or anyone else he references. . . you are welcome Alex.   All in fun readers, but I really am going to have to watch what I say in front of him!!

Now moving on, well not far, but moving slightly ahead. . . this week was a short one for me at the office.

Because Good Friday fell on my regular day off, I had Friday and then Monday off as well. Then the end of the week was shortened up by a medical appointment and finishing up my holidays from 2011. Add that all up, and only two days for me in the office!

That makes for a very busy week, or. . .two days!

It was fun looking at all of the photos that came in from the Borderland Music Festival this year. Thanks to Colleen Christopherson-Cote and Shelly Rousseau for submitting photos.  This is the second year that I haven’t had anyone in the music festival. I so miss that! I just love music and watching it live especially. And of course, when it is a family member that makes it even better.

I am so looking forward to this weekend’s Merchant Cabaret when I will get to see Parallel 49 again and listen to my son, Dallas, sing. It has been far too long!

The cabaret is attracting lots of friends and family and I expect a full house. I love to have company.

My sister, Penny and her family spent the Easter holidays with us and we certainly enjoyed having them. It is always fun to have a youngster in the house. Lane celebrated his 6th birthday while visiting. His birthday is April 20, so “Happy Birthday Lane!”.

During the week, I was also busy keeping Delaney organized for all of her last minute dance classes in preparation for the dance recital that was held Sunday. Then dance will be done for the year. I am sad to see it go.

Also crammed into this week was taxes. . . I so wish we were such procrastinators! Our company had to put up with Grant and I sorting through our piles of paper in preparation for a visit to the accountant. You would think after 28 years we would be more organized! Not! The only thing that has changed is now we take our pile to someone else to sort out so April 30 isn’t quite as crazy as it used to be. Good luck to you as you make your way to tax deadline day. I am sure there are a few more people besides me that aren’t quite ready!

And speaking of getting ready. . . as I write this, I am trying to get organized for the Ladies Night Out in Willow Bunch! I am very excited to attend their event. I went two years ago, but missed last year. This year’s event was a masquerade so I was discussing this with Darren and I am not sure why, but he told me that I might want to invest in “Spanx”. I don’t have any idea why he would suggest a thing. Firstly, I had no idea what he was referring to at the time, and then once I did some research, I was quite confused. Mostly as to why he knew what they were and I didn’t. . . I guess his trim appearance isn’t that natural. . .
