The Woodriver Ice Cats are a Midget AA girls team who play out of the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League (SSFHL).  The SSFHL consists of 2 Regina teams, Praire Storm, Notre Dame, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Woodriver, and Weyburn. 

The Icecats finished second in league play.  They played Weyburn in the final round with the best out of 3 series and won 2 games to 1.   The team played out of a central location, being Lafleche and have 6 girls graduating this year: Chelsey Briere, Carmen Kriston, Emily Wilson, Josie Newton, Nicole Roeher, and Mackenzie Embury.

  The girls come from the following towns: Mankota:  Chelsey Briere; Carmen Kriston, Shayna Hanson, Kylie Gavelin and Jenessa Kress; Gravelbourg: Taylor Hornung; Rockglen: Brooke Stewart and Meg Mulvena; Val Marie: Whitney Clement; Lafleche: Emily Wilson; Hodgeville: Joree Nelson, Josie Newton, Nicole Roeher, Joelene Zakaluzny; Limerick : Megan Cojocar; Kincaid: Shelby McLeod; Assiniboia: Mackenzie Embury; Glentworth : Cheyanne Ogle

The Ice Cats  are coached by Roger Kress, Brett Wilson and Manager Darla Briere.
