S. Falconer - Southline

Many young people in the area love hockey.  Some love to watch it, some love to play it. . . For Dan and Dylan Harden, sons of Jason & Shelley Harden from Glentworth, their love of hockey turned into some big prizes for them and their friends.

The boys received entry forms for a contest from Hillcrest Enterprises in Coronach. The contest, the Pioneer Hi-Bred Hockey Jersey contest, required the boys to write essays on ‘Why I Like Hockey’ and to draw a picture to accompany it.

The boys won a major prize which was new hockey jerseys for the Glentworth Novice Hockey team!

The boys won 20 jerseys and that was enough for more than their Novice team. So, on November 1, Amy Mattus, representing Hillcrest Enterprises. was at the Waverley Sports Gardens in Glentworth to present the jerseys to the Novice and Junior Novice teams. Players also received Pioneer bags, pucks, pens and caps.

Well done!
