The Notre Dame Hounds played one game last week, recording an impressive 11-1 win over the visiting Battleford Sharks. Olivia Howe of Moose Jaw led the way with six goals and two assists. Brittany Berisoff, from Kelowna, B.C., had two goals and five assists while Kelty Apperson of Wilcox, SK, picked up five helpers.
Coronach’s Kylee Kupper had an assist in the victory. Kupper’s totals through 14 games is four goals and eight assists.
As of Thursday, January 26, the Hounds record is 18-2-1-0. That gives them 37 points and two points behind the first place Saskatoon Stars.
SJHL
The Notre Dame Hounds also played one game last week. They defeated the Kindersley Klippers 3-1 on Saturday, January 21. The Hounds’ record improved to 17-26-0-3. The 37 points keeps them comfortably in fifth spot in the Sherwood Division.
Coronach’s Catlin Foley has eight goals and seven assists for 15 points in 44 games played. In the 44 games Foley played in 2010-11 season for the Hounds, he had four goals and 10 points.
Blain Thomson of Assiniboia has picked up one goal and five assists through 37 games. Last year, in 44 games played, Thomson had no goals and one assist.
The Battleford North Stars slipped past the Melville Millionaires 4-3 in their only game last week. The win has their record at 33-11-0-2 for 68 points and second place in the Bauer Division. Assiniboia’s Kyle Hall has 10 goals and 18 assists in 46 games played.
