The Weyburn Youngfellows came up short as they were defeated by the Yorkton Gold Terriers in the Pee Wee final of the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League.
The Gold Terriers won the best of three series, 2-0.
The top ranked Yorkton club won by scores of 6-1 on March 23 and 8-3 on March 25.
Coronach’s Kade Eger, a forward for the Youngfellows, picked up an assist in the final game. Eger finished the playoffs with two goals and three assists to go along with six penalty minutes in 11 games.
Goaltender Dalton Dosch of Willow Bunch, went 3-2-1 in seven playoff games and finished with a 4.13 goals against average.
