The Coronach Curling Club slid into action for the 2011-12 season on Tuesday, November 29.

Ice making began on October 31 and continued for the month of October. Don Perry and a group of volunteers worked hard over the month to get the ice in.

A slight melt-down part way through the ice making process put the club a couple of weeks behind schedule, but the club reports a great ice surface and plenty of great fun and competition ahead.

The club registered 10 teams, down two from last year, four from the 2009 season.

Although Club executive members are disappointed in the decline in number of teams, they look forward to hosting two nights of curling, Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well as a number of bonspiels.

The Club also operates the lounge which is open for curling nights, as well as Coronach Merchant and Midget Bronco games.

The club is making plans for an adult-only fun night of curling that is scheduled for January 7.
