On November 5th the Coronach School Senior girls volleyball team traveled to Carlyle to play AAA Volleyball Conference Playoffs.
Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) divides schools into conferences according to school population. The Coronach School is in the AAA division.
The Coronach Senior girl’s volleyball team played against Vibank, Wolseley and Carlyle, also AAA teams.
The Coronach team started their day off playing Vibank. After two very close sets Vibank was victorious.
In the next game, Coronach played Carlyle. According to the coach of the Coronach girls, Miss. Deb Karpinski, both teams played a great game, but Carlyle came out on top, winning both sets.
In the final game of the day, Coronach was up against Wolseley.
Karpinski reported that the Coronach team played a very strong game, but fell short losing both sets in the end.
“The girls played very well, we had a few times where we did not play to the best of our ability.” said Karpinski. “Wolseley was, by far, the strongest team, good way to end the season” she concluded.
